West Mira and Bollstad Dolphin are two of the world’s most advanced drilling rigs. They are both based on the Moss Maritime CS60 design, capacity of drilling in water depth of up to 10,000 feet, NCS compliant and fully winterized making them capable of drilling in all harsh environment areas globally. West Mira was originally awarded a five year contract with Husky Oil for operations in Canada and Greenland while Bollsta Dolphin was originally awarded a five year contract with Chevron for operations outside Shetland. Both rigs are currently being warehoused.
West Aquila and West Libra are some of the world’s most sophisticated high-end drilling units, to be built at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering CO., Ltd (“DSME”) in Korea. Both units are 7th generation ultra-deepwater capable drill ships and built for demanding drilling operations in water depth up to 12 000 feet. The drill ships will have DP3 certified thrusters, large deck space and load capacities and will have dual derricks for increased drilling activity and efficiency. The company also has an option to aquire another similar drill ship (Cobalt Explorer) from the same yard.
